For our first mention, it has to go out to our biggest influence and passion and, in our opinion, the best producer on the planet, Kryder @krydermusic !!!
We have been following this artist’s work for many years now. Proclaimed by many as ‘The Groove Master’, Kryder has taken the house music genre and flipped it on it’s head. This producer and DJ from the UK hosts his own incredible record label @sosumirecords and doesn’t charge for any of these top quality tracks. Groove, Latin, tribal, carnival, funkin’ jackin’ … All of these genres are stemming from Kryder’s unique sound!
Kryteria Radio, a weekly podcast streamed live on Kryder’s Facebook page, is the best way to experience all these new and fresh sounds, whilst chatting away with like-minded people. We try to tune in as much as possible and, through this radio station, we have made some amazing friends who we have since partied with at festivals. Kryteria is the perfect mix of tribal, tech-house and groove bangers, all together in one tidy 60 minute package.
We appreciate that everyone has different tastes in music, but for us two, this is pure, shoulder rolling, hip shaking, body pumping happiness! Already with releases on Axtone @axtonerecords , S – ZE @sizerecords , Spinnin’ @spinninrecords and many more, it seems as if there is nothing stopping him. And now with The Cartel @cartelrecordings , a new and unique record label, incorporating fresh sounds of hard drums, melodic flutes, heavy basslines – we CANNOT RECOMMEND Kryder enough. He is responsible for huge hits such as Crocodile Tears (Axtone), Dogs On Acid (Sosumi Records), MTV (Musical Freedom), Apache (S – ZE), Aphrodite (Axtone), You & Me (Cartel Recordings) and many, many more. He’s also dropped remixes by some massive artists like Chicane, Oliver Heldens, Tommy Trash, L’Tric and Michael Calfan.
This music helped us grow together and bond together and we have made so many amazing friends through the unique sounds of Kryder and the Groove Cartel. We have been listening to this music for many years now, and we’ve been lucky enough to meet up with Kryder on a few occasions. He’s a proper down to earth bloke and he’s worked extremely hard to get where he is today.
Special shoutout to Tom Staar @tom_staar , another huge influence of ours, who will be sure to get a mention very soon! Kryder and Tom often collaborate, remix tracks and perform together, each bringing their own unique sound and authenticity to the genre. Together, these blokes have remixed tracks from giants in the industry, like Arno Cost & Norman Doray, Sam Feldt, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Armin Van Buuren, Sam Feldt, Afrojack, Swedish House Mafia and AN21 & Max Vangeli vs. Steve Angello.
